What Quaintforge is

Quaintforge is an independent editorial planning guide to the Cabot Trail, with a catalogue of hotels. It is not a booking service, tour operator, hotel operator, or government agency, and is not affiliated with Parks Canada, Nova Scotia Tourism, the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, the Gaelic College, or any operator, hotel, lodge, or attraction named on this site unless explicitly stated.

Content ownership and accuracy

Text and original photography on this site are owned by Quaintforge or used under license, except where credited otherwise. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original page. Trail conditions, prices, hours, and seasonal dates referenced on this site change; always confirm current information with Parks Canada, the relevant operator, or the applicable institution before relying on it for travel planning.

Governing law and changes to these terms

These terms are intended to be interpreted under generally applicable legal principles; if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. We may update these terms from time to time and will update the date above when we do. Questions can be sent through our contact page.

The hotel catalogue

The catalogue lists hotels for information only. We do not take reservations or payments, we show no live prices or availability, and we do not guarantee that any hotel has rooms. Any reservation is a contract between you and the hotel, on the hotel’s terms; we are not a party to it and are not responsible for rates, taxes, fees, cancellation rules or the quality of your stay.

Hotel descriptions, facilities, room types, coordinates, contact details and photos are supplied by third parties, mainly the Hotelbeds catalogue, in English. They can be incomplete or out of date, and star categories, occupancy and distances are indicative. Being listed does not mean a hotel pays us. Hotel, brand and company names, logos and photos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the properties described. Confirm anything that matters with the hotel before you rely on it.

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial planning. Do not copy it in bulk, scrape it, disrupt it or try to gain unauthorised access to it.
